Hey guys, I’m typing this cus i’m desperate, I’ve had acne since I was 15 or so i’m 18 now and still have acne, I managed to clear it out at 17 cus i started applying caudalie’s salisylic acid serum and moisturiser, along with SA cleanser and a mineral based sunscreen for oily skin (it also cleared my hyperpigmentation that i had afterwards) But this year around october I couldn’t find the product and my mum suggested to go to a dermatologist, I went there and he gave me pills, and 3 different creams to apply day and night, It fucking destroyed my skin barrier (and probably gut) and I went from having 0 acne to having it worse than ever before, I was on the treatment for 3 months and a half and i decided to stop as it harmed me more than it helped me, I repurchased the product and started investigating again like crazy , my lifestyle is really good health wise, go to the gym for 2-3 hours each day (except sundays) eat as healthy as you can get and I even started eating healthier as i’ve seen that some foods can trigger your acne, I had already cut out diary and chocolate since ages ago as a dermatologist I saw before told me to (I was 15 at the time), but then I saw gluten can trigger acne, so bye bye bread, cereals etc, then I saw that certain type of carbs can brake you out, so i cut out beans and rice, Then i started seeing some articles that said that some greasy meat can break you out, so I limited severely my intake of red meat, Then i started noticing that if I ate 2 fruits a day I broke out (maybe no correlation at all as sometimes i didn’t sometimes I did) so I started eating only a fruit a day, and keep in mind that I still ate vegetables and white meat but like this is so fucking extreme, Like 8-9 months ago when i finally cleared my skin I was eating everything, (not shitty, just everything) I was eating gluten, carbs, fruit, sugary foods, Greasy foods, White/red meat everything
